We had an amazing experience at Bawarchi Biryani in Montreal! The food was authentic, with rich Hyderabadi flavors that perfectly captured the essence of Indian cuisine. The biryani was especially delicious, with tender meat and aromatic rice.
I also appreciate that the staff accommodated us by taking our order after their regular closing time of 10:30 pm. They genuinely cared about our experience and ensured we enjoyed a great meal despite the late hour.
A big shout out to the waitress, Harini, who made our visit unforgettable. She took the time to explain the dishes and even anticipated our needs by offering a carry bag for our leftovers. It was such a thoughtful touch speaking in Tamil and made the experience even more special and memorable.
Will definitely visit again!

Amazing food - if there is option to give 10 stars I would have totally done it, but it only limits me at 5 star. Biryani is something which is must try , we hardly find such an authentic biryanis in North America. We came all the Moncton to visit Montreal on road trip , the trip was exhausting however Bawarchis food in downtown took away all our exhaustion and made me and my family Nastolgic reminding us our old college days with Authentic hyderabadi biryanis , kervepaku chiken & cauliflower kervepaku.
P.S - Service deserves another 10 stars , owners are very down to earth and accommodating. I thought at first they are just waiters but then realized it’s a family owned business they all are so down to earth.

Vraiment bon !

Bavarchi Restaurant Review
I recently visited Bavarchi Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and family gatherings. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, especially if you're a fan of Indian cuisine. I tried their biryani, and it was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and generously portioned. The naan was fresh and fluffy, complementing the curries well.
A special mention to Dhruv bhai, who provided excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. His recommendations were spot on, and he made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for an authentic and satisfying meal in a comfortable setting, Bavarchi is definitely worth a visit!

I recently dined at Bawatchi Restaurant and was excited to try their Kaju Ghee Paneer Biryani and Paneer Tikka Masala.
The Kaju Ghee Paneer Biryani was a standout dish. The rice was perfectly cooked, fragrant, and infused with spices. The paneer was rich and creamy, complemented by the crunch of cashews. The balance of flavors was impressive, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.
The Paneer Tikka Masala was equally delightful. The paneer was tender and marinated well, with a robust and creamy sauce that had just the right level of spice. It paired wonderfully with naan, making for a comforting and indulgent experience.
Service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. Bawatchi Restaurant is definitely worth a visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Montreal. I look forward to returning to try more dishes!

This place is absolutely wonderful. The staff are meticulous and organized, and they can guide you to the options that might suit you, especially if you are new to Indian cuisine. Indian cuisine is rich and diverse with many strong and distinctive flavors in both meat and vegetarian dishes, making it an excellent destination for those following a vegetarian lifestyle. The prices and the quality of the food are encouraging, prompting repeated visits whenever you crave the taste of Indian food in Montreal. The restaurant's location also makes it the preferred choice for family and friends gatherings. I love this place and will certainly continue to visit it regularly🥰😇👌🏽

Amazing India food. Especially biryani. I had mirchi biryani, consist of boneless chicken, in favoured rice alone green chilli (mirchi) with garnished with half an bolied egg, slice of lime and red onion. On the side you get gravy and curd (yoghurt) with coriander. - excellent 🍛🍴😘
Choose of drink was masala chai or tea, not take out tea bags rather brewed - great favour! ☕
For dessert I had gulabjamun with ice cream which what I serve then I host Indian dinner however ice cream was of very poor quality, you have fine pellet, you will find ice cream contain lot of water hence ice crystals.
Its street parking, not easy to find! mind it - it's Montréal 🤷🏽♀️

One of the best place to have Indian cuisine in downtown Montreal. They have live pani puri counter setup outside, we tried Dahi puri and regular pain puri, my wife liked them, for me they were Okok, I felt the spiciness and high tanginess was missing.
In starters we ordered baby corn Manchurian - which was good, it had little sweetness to it at front but spicy by the end of the bite. For main course we had paneer tikka masala and garlic naan, no complaints about them they were on point. Overall it’s a very nice restaurant, good ambiance. Service and staff was very good & helpful in explaining the menu. Will visit again for sure.

This restaurant is my favourite authentic Indian experience in Montreal by far. Personally I have a pretty good spice tolerance, but my friends... not so much, so we were a bit worried when coming here at first.
After explaining our situation to the waiter they patiently gave us suggestions to cater to lower spice tolerances, such as their Nawabi Chicken Biryani or Butter Chicken Biryani. These were both delicious, and the rich and flavourful sauces complimented their fragrant naan breads.
The service was good, and despite coming at a busy time, the waiters would check in on us as frequently as they could.
This restaurant is solid.

We enjoyed the food here. Everything was delicious. We ordered:
Amaravathi Goat Curry
Malai Kofta
Tandoori Roti
Paneer Kulcha
Goat Dum Biryani
Butter Naan
Fried Roast Mutton
The Malai kofta had a creamy and rich curry which I enjoyed a lot. The paneer kulcha was nice as well. Everything ordered was delicious and had a good amount of blended spices that heated your throat and did not overpower whelm your tongue.
A welcoming experience as most Indian restaurants here just dose their food with chili.
Parking is difficult to find on bishop street but we were lucky to find one available.
Service was quick.

One the of finest Indian restaurants in Montreal. They have a really good ambience and the food tastes amazing. I was surprised to see the variety of appetizers and biryanis they offer. (Both Veg & Non Veg). The Management is very polite and friendly, so as the dining team.
Must try:
Veg :
Gobi/Babycorn Manchurian
Gobi/Corn Karvepaku
Chilli Paneer
Malai Kofta Curry
Shahi Paneer Curry
Gunter Paneer Biryani ( *spicy* )
Nawabi Veg Biryani
Non-Veg : Whole menu ( don’t miss anything 😇 as every item is unique in its own way)
Disclaimer: It’s quite crowed in rush hours. Wait time is long, but worth waiting.

One of the few good Indian restaurants in Montreal. Small menu that’s why quality has been greatly maintained. I have tried their Nawabi biryani, vijaywada biryani, masakali chicken, bagara baigan, malai kofta and Apollo fish so far. Everything had a unique and very flavourful taste. Prices are bit higher but quantity given is enough for 2 people (especially for biryani).
Better to go for dine in rather than ordering online cz last time I order it took really long and they were out of stock for one time. But I understand as it is a busy restaurant.
I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu :)

We recently ordered Biryani takeout from Bawarachi, and their biryani was nothing short of exceptional. The rich, aromatic flavors were perfectly balanced, with tender pieces of vegetables and paneer and fragrant basmati rice that were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful explosion of spices, showcasing the chef's expertise and dedication to traditional recipes. The portion sizes were generous, making it a great value for the quality of food served. If you’re a biryani enthusiast or simply looking to try something delicious, Bawarachi is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

If you believe that the restaurants should have great decor as well as good food to be successful, you are wrong!
This blah looking restaurant pulls in crowds from far and wide. Don't expect to take a date here or your father in law to impress. People come in starving and leave with a belly full of a-m-a-z-i-n-g fingerlicious food!
With 50+ locations globally, you know the secret to their success. We ordered fish and lamb appetizers; amravati dum biryani (yes, they have two dozen dum biryanis), garlic naan, and chicken 65 curry.
The entire menu is well priced and the portions are H-U-G-E. Enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
My colleague also indicated that they have bought biryani at the Toronto restaurant; asked them to pack it (they pack it differently when you are flying with it) and brought it all the way to Vancouver.
The day we went in, the air conditioner was busted, but I'm hoping it's fixed now and doesn't dampen the spirits of ecstasy-seeking foodies!

Ordered Paneer biriyani tray for a group of 10 people and chicken biriyani tray for a group of 6 people during a summer road trip. We were provided with neatly packed food that we used 4 hours later. It was so fresh and packed with flavours. We also saved the leftovers and refrigerated it which we used for the second day of the trip. It showed the quality of the food that it was freshly made when we placed the order. All my friends appreciated the plan of getting the food where we didnt have to cook after a long journey and had delicious food the entire trip.

Its very hard to maintain Consistency for such long time but this restaurant is doing very well .
One of the best indian restaurants in Montréal for taste .
I am regularly customer and 80% time i got perfect dish but some time something happens they change it happily .
Vijaywada birayani is my favourite ..
this restaurant is like go to restaurants anytime you can go and eat. quantity against price for biryani is enough.
Starter are bit expensive as compared to quantity but they taste good.
Overall you will get indian taste and satisfaction about indian food .

The food at Bawarchi is truly exceptional especially biryanis are so far the bests I’ve had in montreal, and I must commend Sakshi, an outstanding member of the staff, for enhancing my dining experience. With her extensive knowledge of the menu, Sakshi provided excellent recommendations that perfectly complemented the flavors of each dish. Her attentive and friendly service ensured that every aspect of my meal was delightful. The combination of Sakshi's exceptional service and the amazing food at Bawarchi made for an unforgettable dining experience.

I had been here today with my family members and the food was really good. The service was good. Miss Harini helped us and she was really professional and very comfortable and friendly to communicate with, and they took really less time to get us all our orders, which was truly commendable. We enjoyed the meal thoroughly. We really liked the chilli shrimp appetizer, karaikudi chicken curry and ghee roast mutton pulao and the lime soda at the end was so refreshing. Overall it was a meal worth enjoying. I loved it and might go back again.

• Starter: Gobi Manchurian, Paneer 555.
The depth of flavour was remarkable, setting the tone for the rest of the meal.
• Main Course: Paneer tikka masala. Cooked to perfection
• Dessert: Gulab Jamun
An indulgent ending to the meal, the Gulab jamun was rich and gooey, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was simply divine.
Best Service:
The service at The Bawarchi Restaurant is truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and attended to our every need with a warm and friendly demeanour.

We keep returning to this restaurant time and again because it serves some of the best biryanis in town. It's our go-to place for ordering biryani for friends and family gatherings. Dining in is also a wonderful experience.
Must-try biryanis:
- Chicken dum biryani
- Goat / Mutton dum biryani
- Chicken ghee roast
- Nawabi chicken
- Mutton ghee roast
- Nawabi mutton
Appetizers:
- Kaju chicken
- Chicken 65
They clearly indicate the spice levels, so be sure to order based on your spice tolerance.
All you biryani lovers, this is a must-try.
